ONE-TO-ONE TUITION

One-to-one tuition is available for a  full range of instruments and genres, including:

The curriculum, devised by professional musicians, seeks to create competent and confident young performers.

Examinations accredited by such boards as the Royal Irish Academy of Music, The Irish Board of Speech and Drama, the Irish Board of Dance Performance, the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, Leinster School of Music and Drama and Registry of Guitar Tutors at London College of Music are encouraged and implemented.

As performance is a vital part of our music tuition many and varied opportunities are provided throughout the year for our students to gain performance experience.

ENSEMBLE/ GROUP TUITION

Shared tuition is available across the following disciplines:

. Pre-Instrumental Class

(Junior Infants – 2nd class)

Our Cara Programme is designed for younger children embarking on their musical journey and provides a solid foundation of musical concepts and learning through songs, games and activities.

. Junior Choir

(2nd – 6th class)

Unison and part singing following RIAM syllabus. Group singing builds camaraderie and musicianship skills.

. Guitar Group Tuition

Restricted to three or four per class.  This is a cost effective and fun way to learn with those of a similiar age and stage of development.

. Musical Theatre Ensemble

Following the Irish Board’s Musical Theatre syllabus this energetic and creative class combines all the key elements of theatre including singing, movement and drama.

. Acting

Through drama group scenes and solo work these classes focus on all aspects of speech, voice, drama, acting and mime while exploring accents, gestures, stage movement.

. Modern Theatre Dance Class

In conjunction with the Irish Board of Dance Performance these classes cover all elements and technique of Modern Theatre Dance.

. Traditional Music (Beginner & Advanced Groups)

Groups prepare sets for Siansa and various recitals.

. Communication Skills/ Public Speaking

(Secondary students)

In small groups students gain confidence and develop essential life skills to deal with many issues that teenagers are handling on a day-to-day basis.

. Chamber Choir

Applicants will have to go through an audition process due to restricted numbers.  Suitable for all voice types SATB.
